L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC) is charged with the responsibility of working with UnitedHealthcare to ensure their utilization of District of Columbia Certified Businesses is captured and accurately reported to the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD)In addition, create and implement outreach strategies to attract potential healthcare providers interested and qualified in becoming CBE certified and to work with UnitedHealthcare. The following are a few of our Tasks:

Specific strategies established to reinforce compliance conformance include:

LSC is responsible for:

  • Review UnitedHealthcare spend data reports to create and submit quarterly Vendor Verification Forms and DSLBD Quarterly Reports
  • Responsible for updating and/or amending as needed, UHC’s Quarterly Reports and CBE Subcontracting Plan.
  • Providing LSC’s proprietary online Compliance Online Reporting System (CÔR) that tracks, monitors, and reports CBE spending, including an explanation of goals, local policies, and reporting requirements, including completion of required forms.
  • Assists potential CBE Contractors with the completion of the CBE Certification Application and submission to Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD).
  • Assist in implementing and documenting Best Faith Efforts.
