The WCS Construction, LLC is working with Terrance Manor Redevelopment LP to construct a new LEED Gold affordable apartment project consisting of 130 affordable units.
L.S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC) is charged with Compliance oversight for the project. LSC will assist WCS’s overall efforts to develop and implement a long term, sustainable, solution that addresses the difficulty in meeting the hourly employment goals required of the existing First Source Employment Agreement (FSEA).
STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS
- Identifying and cultivating relationships with external resources in the public and private sector that work with returning citizens, veterans, DOES unemployed, underemployed etc.
- Meet and work with WCS and other WSC AWP team members on issues directly related to the development and implementation of the Alternative Work Plan
- Working with WCS subcontractors, obtain basic attributes required/desired to work in designated trades for four (4) AWP sessions
- Register approximately thirty (30) DC residents per session seeking training and or job opportunities. Projected
