Ward 8 Direct Hire Job Opportunity Event
L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC) was contracted by Community of Hope to provide Project Management services for developing and implementing a Community Outreach Event that invited qualified Ward 8 residents for personal interviews for over 35 job opportunities, which included: Housing Program Director, Short Term Family Housing, Short-Term Family Housing Case Manager, Resident Monitor, Resident Monitor Shift Supervisor and many other positions.
Community of Hope has worked tirelessly for almost four decades to impact the future for low-income, homeless and underserved families in Washington, DC. Originally founded as a compassionate ministry of the Church of the Nazarene, Community of Hope was incorporated as an independently-run nonprofit organization in 1980. As the needs of our community grew, they have expanded their services across the city, with the same holistic, compassionate approach that inspired their beginnings.
LSC was specifically charged with:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- With Client input and approval, designed a strategic plan for registering qualified Ward 8 residents for interviews.
- Provided research for database management and other marketing technical/administrative support.
- Attended outreach meetings as needed to support the identification of interested Ward 8 residents.
- Oversaw on-site registration and event coordination.
- Created all on-site signage, registration documentation and captured photo images of the Event.
- Provided client with a follow-up report, outlining all deliverables and statistics for the Event.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
- Researched & identified organizations to help disseminate employment opportunities.
- Created and produced various materials, i.e. a flyer that illustrated all employment opportunities available & information regarding the Direct Hire Event.
- Confirmed direct hire interview schedules by forwarding candidates follow-up registration emails
