The Banneker Ridge Townhomes at Fort Lincoln are being developed by Fort Lincoln Banneker Townhomes LLC, who is also self-performing all pre-construction land development relating to the preparation of the land, i.e. excavation, surveying, water and sewer system, etc. Once land development is completed, fifty-five (55) elegant townhomes will be constructed by Ryan Homes, selected by the Developer as the General Contractor/Home Builder.
L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. (LSC) is responsible for implementation, documentation of efforts and monitoring goal achievements.
Within scheduled guidelines, LSC will complete the following tasks:
- Outreach and identification of CBE firms through a variety of efforts including pre-bids, media, associations, one-on-one sessions, emails, calls, etc.
- Facilitate in the development of relationships between CBEs, the developer and general contractor.
- Develop a CBE participation program and implementation plan.
- Work with local community organizations and business associations to ensure specific commitment and economic development benefits occur within the local community.
- Analyze eligible contracts/dollars to assist in contract sizing, packaging, subcontractor responsibility and subcontractor availability.
- Develop report mechanisms and provide instruction to the developer and all project contractors regarding tracking and reporting efforts to reach employment and contracting goals.
- Monitor and track reporting requirements for all trades that have specific contracting and employment goals.
