As Affirmative Action Consultant, L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. developed and implemented a minority outreach program which led to the highest minority business enterprise participation rate ever achieved by Prince George’s County Public Schools Board of Education.
L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. programs and outreach methods that aided in this achievement included:
- Assisted Construction Managers to ensure the thirty percent (30%) participation goal is met.
- Supported Compliance Outreach Activities for Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) certified MBE firms.
- Developed outreach materials, liaison with area contractor organizations, government agencies, i.e. pre bids, workshops.
- Contracting/Employment compliance development, oversight, implementation, monitoring, tracking/reporting.
- Project goal analysis based on scope of work and availability of contractor resources.
- Provided compliance training for Public Schools procurement personnel, Primes and subcontractors.
- Developed monitoring and reporting documents and processes for Prince George’s Public Schools and contractors.
- Provided lists of M/WBEs to General Contractors and conversely, lists of General Contractors to MBEs for aid in preparation of bids and attainment of participation goals.
