Alternative Workforce Program (AWP)
The WCS Construction, LLC is partnering with the DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) to provide this Alternate Work Program (AWP) that will benefit District of Columbia residents. WCS initiated the first of four (4) training programs on Thursday, August 11, 2022; at least 2-3 other training sessions will take place to ensure all viable DC candidates are made aware of the opportunity.
The WCS’s AWP will engage citizens who seek alternate work opportunities, economic stability for families, and fulfills employment goals for the District of Columbia to provide long-term employment and available resources for companies seeking to do business in the District of Columbia. L.S. Caldwell & Associates, partnered with WCS, will offer a ten (10) week training and training program and job placement in thriving construction industry.
L. S. Caldwell & Associates, Inc. was retained by WCS Construction to develop and implement an Alternative Work Plan (AWP). Our scope was developed with the goal of assisting WCS’s overall efforts to develop and implement a long term, sustainable solution that addresses the difficulty in meeting the hourly employment goals required of the existing First Source Employment Agreement (FSEA).
